Ms. Hamilton's Class
This is my first year teaching and I LOVE it! I graduated from Texas A&M University, so, needless to say, not only am I passionate about teaching children, but also about being an Aggie.
I am so blessed to be at Sherwood Elementary. This place is truly a community that is committed to doing what is best for every student!
The children are full of so many exciting surprises and I’m excited that your child is in my class! I love singing, being goofy, and dancing with the kiddos! The year will be full of many wonderful opportunities for your child to grow academically and to develop a character full of integrity and compassion.

1st Grade...Here we come!!!
Before you know it, it will be time to move on to 1st grade. Is your child ready?
Here are a few things your child should be doing:
know all letters and sounds
writing sentences
reading sight words
reading text that is not a pattern
be able to count to 100
create at least a 2 part pattern
extend patterns
name shapes and their attributes

Be sure your child is getting enough sleep at night. Good sleep helps create a more focused and alert learner!
