Sherwood Elementary School  was established in the Fall of 1968.  We celebrated our 35th anniversary in 2004 with the opening of a new library and a new gym. We are proud of our  diverse population of over 300 students.  Our mascot is the American Bald Eagle.

We offer balanced literacy, math programs, hands-on science,  and  an up-to-date social studies curriculum to excite and engage all of our students. Sherwood is most proud to have a Dual Language program in grades Prekindergarten through second that offers students who speak English at home a chance to learn in Spanish while those who speak Spanish at home learn to speak English. In addition to this program, we offer one way bilingual programs and services for students with special needs and those identified for the gifted and talented program.
Sherwood is an exciting place to learn and grow.

Each staff member works daily to ensure that at the time of your child's departure from Sherwood, he or she has the skills necessary to spread their wings and fly!
